Progress Solar Solutions Return and Refund Policy

Last Updated: May 2026

At Forest Equipment Co., we are committed to providing quality equipment and excellent customer service. Because Progress Solar Solutions products are large commercial equipment items that are shipped directly from the manufacturer, special return, cancellation, and warranty conditions apply.

Please review this policy carefully before placing your order.

Return Eligibility

Progress Solar Solutions products are considered specialized commercial equipment and are generally not eligible for return once shipped.

Returns may only be considered when:

  • The product arrives damaged during transit.
  • The product received differs materially from the item ordered.
  • The manufacturer authorizes the return.
  • Forest Equipment Co. issues a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA), if applicable.

Returns requested without prior authorization may be refused.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are generally non-returnable:

  • Equipment that has been used, operated, installed, modified, or damaged after delivery.
  • Custom-configured products.
  • Products ordered with customer-requested modifications or upgrades.
  • Special-order items.
  • Replacement parts.
  • Products returned without authorization.

Inspection Upon Delivery

Customers must inspect all shipments immediately upon delivery.

If your order arrives with visible shipping damage:

  1. Note the damage on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing.
  2. Take photographs of the packaging and product.
  3. Notify Forest Equipment Co. within 48 hours of delivery.

Failure to document and report freight damage promptly may limit the ability to file a freight claim.

If there are concerns regarding product condition, specifications, or shipping damage, customers should notify Forest Equipment Co. as soon as possible after delivery. The manufacturer requires prompt written notification of product issues and inspection-related claims.

Return Authorization Process

Before returning any Progress Solar Solutions product, customers must contact Forest Equipment Co. to request return authorization.

Return requests should include:

  • Order number
  • Customer name
  • Product model
  • Description of the issue
  • Photographs of the product and packaging (if applicable)

Return instructions will be provided if the return is approved.

Products returned without authorization may be refused by the manufacturer.

Restocking Fees

Approved returns may be subject to:

  • Restocking fees
  • Original outbound freight charges
  • Return shipping costs
  • Inspection and refurbishment fees, if applicable

Any applicable fees will be communicated before return authorization is issued.

Refunds

If a return is approved and received by the manufacturer in acceptable condition:

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method.
  • Approved deductions may include shipping costs, freight charges, restocking fees, and other manufacturer-authorized charges.
  • Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider and manufacturer inspection process.

Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable unless the return is due to an error by Forest Equipment Co. or the manufacturer.

Order Cancellations

Before Shipment

Orders may be canceled before shipment, subject to manufacturer approval.

If production, preparation, or freight arrangements have already begun, cancellation fees may apply.

After Shipment

Orders that have already shipped generally cannot be canceled.

If an exception is approved, all freight charges, return freight costs, and applicable restocking fees will remain the responsibility of the customer.

Manufacturer Warranty

Progress Solar Solutions provides a limited manufacturer warranty on qualifying products. The warranty period generally extends for two (2) years from delivery to the first purchaser, subject to the manufacturer's terms and exclusions.

Key warranty provisions include:

  • Year 1 generally covers qualifying defective parts resulting from defects in material or workmanship.
  • Year 2 generally covers qualifying parts manufactured directly by Progress Solar Solutions, with no labor coverage.
  • Replacement warranty parts are generally covered for 90 days from documented purchase.
  • Warranty claims must generally be reported in writing within 30 days of discovery of the defect.
  • Generator systems and certain OEM-supplied components are covered separately by their respective manufacturers and are not covered under the Progress Solar Solutions warranty.

The manufacturer's warranty contains additional terms, exclusions, limitations, and operating requirements. Warranty coverage is ultimately determined by Progress Solar Solutions.

Warranty Claim Procedure

If you believe your product has a warranty-related defect:

  1. Contact Forest Equipment Co.
  2. Provide your order information and product serial number (if applicable).
  3. Submit photographs and a description of the issue.
  4. Follow any troubleshooting or inspection instructions provided.

Forest Equipment Co. will assist in coordinating warranty claims with Progress Solar Solutions, but final warranty determinations remain the responsibility of the manufacturer.

Limitation of Liability

Forest Equipment Co. is not responsible for:

  • Downtime
  • Lost profits
  • Rental equipment expenses
  • Third-party repair costs
  • Labor expenses not specifically covered by the manufacturer
  • Consequential or incidental damages

Manufacturer warranty coverage is subject to the terms established by Progress Solar Solutions.
